Mary. K. Yap foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to bettering the lives of orphaned children. Mary K. Yap foundation and family members, San Francisco Bay area donors held fund-raising activities once a year since 2001 in Daly City of the United States of America with the intention of helping the orphanages of different states and divisions in Myanmar. This fund-raising activity has two kinds of programs. One is Myanmar food sale and another program is music and entertainment program. Everyone can donate 5$ for each item of Burmese traditional food and they can enjoy various kinds of music and performances by Amateur singers.
The donation of 5,650$ by Mary K. Yap foundation had distributed to the orphanage of Jesus Savior and lord which is situated in Mon state of Myanmar on January 29, 2005. This distribution had gone to build nice and tidy toilet and to repair their house and other essential things they need most. All of our members hoped that this generous contributions helped ease property, schools and the improvement of social welfare. In future days, we will help in any possible ways to raise awareness of the plight of orphans and concerned about every individual rights to a better future. Our ultimate aim of the foundation is to provide orphans of all ages in Myanmar with shelter, food, healthcare and basic education. And we consistently perform in future that to transform the lives of Myanmar orphans to become independent and productive members in their communities.
