Mary. K. Yap foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to bettering the lives of orphaned children. Mary K. Yap foundation and family members, San Francisco Bay area donors held fund-raising activities once a year since 2001 in Daly City of the United States of America with the intention of helping the orphanages of different states and divisions in Myanmar. This fund-raising activity has two kinds of programs. One is Myanmar food sale and another program is music and entertainment program. Everyone can donate 5$ for each item of Burmese traditional food and they can enjoy various kinds of music and performances by Amateur singers.
The orphanage of Mindat in Chin state received 6030 USD by the fundraisers of the Mary. K. Yap foundation on 12th of January, 2007. This charity is held from the sixteenth fundraising event on 29th July, 2006. Parish priest of Mindat gave his sincere thanks to the contributors for he had relieved of his debt (rice for the orphans). Our kind support will also go to rebuild the decaying kitchen and the children of that orphanage will be fed as it is instructed. It meant ever dollar was put towards specific needs. We help consistently sponsored one orphanage per year. Our foundation will provide the lives of little orphans in Myanmar to grow into healthy, successful adults for the larger community. Thus, we would welcome anything which would improve for the benefits of our children.
