Mary. K. Yap foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to bettering the lives of orphaned children. Mary K. Yap foundation and family members, San Francisco Bay area donors held fund-raising activities once a year since 2001 in Daly City of the United States of America with the intention of helping the orphanages of different states and divisions in Myanmar. This fund-raising activity has two kinds of programs. One is Myanmar food sale and another program is music and entertainment program. Such incredible happiness of Bay area donors cannot be replaced with anything.

The donors of San Francisco and Bay area made a donation for three times to different orphanages in Mandalay division with the help of annual fundraising activities held in U.S.A. The first charitable contribution was in February of 2006 to provide the basic needs for the orphans of Saint’s Joseph orphanage. The priest delightfully received 5000$ from Mary .K .Yap which is the board of the director of the orphanage. This fund was used to raise the living standard of the students in the field of education and medicine: to renovate children’s accommodation and more smooth transportation. Donating 5000$ to the orphanage of Doepin monastery (June, 2011) was the second time of providing fund in PyinOoLwin, Mandalay division. According to Priests, there are many children who lost their parents, homes by devastation of Nargis which happened in May 2008. So our donors and we believe that our donation will be great help for Doepin monastery which care orphans, Nargis victims regardless of race and religious. A few months later after this donation, they also gave away 3600$ for underserved and needy children especially for the requirements of health and education sector. The heads of all orphanages, U Pyinya Sami expressed their deeply thanks for these humanitarian aid and significant donations. Such incredible happiness of Bay area donors cannot be replaced with anything.
