Aye Thida Chin was born in Laputta township in Myanmar which is located in the delta of the Irrawaddy. She attended Hua Zhong High school where she developed keen interests and connections for linguistic skills development. From the young age of 12 to 16 years, to the time when she graduated from High School, Aye Thida Chin was already Trilingual with the command in both speaking and writing Chinese, English and Burmese languages. She passionately continued her love for language speaking until she completed her B.Sc Degree in Math major from the Yangon Arts & Science University.
Aye Thida Chin has been a resident of the San Francisco, California since 1979. Prior to her retirement in 2004, she had previously held number of corporate positions in San Francisco Bay Area for more than 25 years. She has been extremely active in the community development initiatives on behalf of the Hua Zhong Alumni Associations for more than 8 years as the President of the Association before becoming closely involved with several charity activities including her devotion as one of the Directors of the Burmese American Buddhist Association (BABA) as well as her association with the Mary K. Yap Foundation where she spend her free time supporting the orphan community of Myanmar as a fundraising committee member.
To date, she lives with 3 children, 4 grandchildren in San Francisco, U.S.A. Aye Thida hobbies include reading, spending time with grandchildren, and volunteering to improve all around.
